Research & idea validation
An initial proposal of the general concept was made that encompasses all the main users in the current work of consultation and medical care process.
By generating a Journey map of the current process, it is ensured that the solution fits the natural process of people carrying out this activity.
The journey map was validated with different doctors and centers that currently perform this interaction between people to provide specialist medical care.
Planning & definition
Conducting interviews with different doctors, managers of medical centers, and some patients, we came to determine the essential activities to transform the entire process of a complete medical appointment to digital.
From contacting the best specialist doctor, booking an appointment, and going virtual or in-person to it. Schedule follow-ups and generate patient profiles and medical consultation notes. Also to add complexity, this platform would have to be multi-device.
This led to the definition of certain essential characteristics to carry out the entire activity and that each individual within had an enriched digital experience. Leaving aside the most complicated features that did not detract from the experience, we were able to define an MVP (minimum value product) of this multi-device platform.
Designing a Concept
Information Architecture
From the definition of the modules to be designed for the MVP, a more detailed flow was generated with the definition of the necessary information for each interactive section. This plan is the initial one for the generation of the general design of the application.
This was done in conjunction with designing the information for the mobile app and web system, to ensure that the experience was very similar across all devices.

Chat (Direct messages)
Doctors and patients have access to a chat where they can always talk in real-time, in the same way, you can quickly access the agenda or a video call, this could be the means of first contact to make an appointment.
Appointments
Both doctors and patients can make an appointment at any time, looking for a doctor or with a doctor already consulted previously, accessing availability, patients and doctors can make their appointment. Appointments can be in a physical office or remotely.
Remote consultations are generated through video calls where the patient and the doctor have direct communication, the doctor also has access to the patient's profile all the time, and when the consultation is finished doctors can add a diagnosis, a treatment, and a prescription.
Profile
The profile is the zone where the information of each doctor and patient is managed and stored during the use of the application, and the record of all their activity and their health data is kept. Here the users can edit any data that was entered in the onboarding
Notifications
Notifications work for any event generated by the tools available within the app. Whether it's an appointment reminder, a new message, or the arrival of the prescription at the pharmacy.
